I was commissioned to illustrate the writer and research scholar, Shivani Mehta's experience with a microvillage in Chennai, India where she observed how public health interventions designed in partnership with the beneficiaries in the villages are always successful compared to those designed by outsiders. This particular project involves community based cooking, ride sharing, child care as well as educational initiatives.
